Eurovignette

Vignettes in Sweden and Luxembourg

Eurovignette

The Eurovignette is a road charge for heavy goods vehicles weighing at least 12 tonnes. It is currently in force in Luxembourg and Sweden. The system operates uniformly, so a single valid Eurovignette is sufficient when travelling through both countries. It applies exclusively to heavy goods vehicles and can be purchased for one day, one week, one month or one year, depending on your needs.

Important: From 1 July 2026, the road toll system in the Netherlands has changed. The Eurovignette is no longer valid in the Netherlands and has been replaced by a new kilometre-based road charging system for heavy goods vehicles.

The Eurovignette system has been in operation since 1999 and is compulsory in the countries mentioned above for heavy goods vehicles with a maximum authorised mass of at least 12 tonnes. The cost of the road charge depends on the validity period, the number of axles and the vehicle’s emission class. Ordering a Eurovignette is quick and convenient; simply register for road tolls with E100.

Our specialists will offer Eurovignettes with validity periods tailored to your company’s needs.

What is the penalty for not having a Eurovignette?

How long is a Eurovignette valid for?

Are Eurovignettes required in the Netherlands?

No. From 1 July 2026, Eurovignettes are no longer required in the Netherlands. They have been replaced by a new kilometre-based road charging system for heavy goods vehicles.

Under the new system, the charge depends on the number of kilometres travelled on roads subject to the toll. Hauliers and drivers must therefore use on-board units (OBUs) to record journeys and enable the charges to be calculated correctly. The system is also available as part of the EETS service, which allows road charges in many European countries to be settled using a single device.
