The A2 motorway in Germany

The A2 motorway is one of the most important routes for freight transport, linking western Germany with the Berlin metropolitan area and forming part of a key transit corridor between Western Europe and Central and Eastern Europe.
The route is approximately 473 km long and runs from the Kreuz Oberhausen junction to the Dreieck Werder junction near Berlin. It carries significant volumes of heavy goods traffic and serves major logistics centres along the route. The motorway is managed by Autobahn GmbH des Bundes, and lorries are subject to Germany’s LKW-Maut toll system.
