Main sections of the A14 motorway
The A14 currently consists of two main parts:
-
Schwerin – Wismar
The northern, operational section serving regional traffic and connections to ports on the Baltic Sea. -
Magdeburg – Halle (Saale) – Leipzig – Dresden
The southern, fully passable motorway section of great importance for domestic and international transport. -
The sections between Schwerin and Magdeburg
Sections under construction, which are intended to link the two existing sections into a single, continuous A14 route in the future.
How do you pay the A14 motorway toll in Germany?
Travelling on the A14 motorway is subject to the LKW-Maut system for heavy goods vehicles with a technically permissible maximum laden mass (TPMLM) of more than 3.5 tonnes. The toll is calculated per kilometre travelled according to the vehicle’s parameters (number of axles, weight and CO₂ emission class) and can be paid automatically via an E100 device (E-BOX / E-BOX 4G / E-BOX T).
