The A13 motorway in Germany
Main sections of the A13 motorway
The A13 is divided into several key sections:
-
Berliner Ring — Teupitz
The northern section diverting heavy goods traffic away from the Berlin conurbation. -
Teupitz — Dresden-Nord
The central section, vital for domestic and transit traffic. -
Dresden-Nord — Dresden-Süd
The southern section, connecting the A13 with other motorways and facilitating transport towards Saxony and the Czech border.
How do you pay the A13 motorway toll in Germany?
Travelling on the A13 motorway is subject to the LKW-Maut system for lorries with a technically permissible maximum laden mass (TPMLM) of more than 3.5 tonnes. Charges are calculated based on the number of kilometres travelled, the number of axles, the vehicle’s weight and its CO₂ emission class, and can be paid automatically using the E100 on-board unit (E-BOX / E-BOX 4G / E-BOX T).
