Let Matvey hear!

Charitable foundations are often asked for help to treat children. So, back in February, the parents of little Matvey Brestsky from Kamenets (Belarus) contacted the "Novoye Pokolenie".
A 2.6 year old boy was born with bilateral chronic sensorineural hearing loss.
"By the age of one and a half, we began to notice that our baby began to talk less and less often. Even later, he stopped paying attention to our talk to him. Then we began to sound the alarm, - Olga Brestskaya told about her son's illness. - We were sent to Minsk, where Matvey was diagnosed with dyangosis: bilateral chronic sensorineural hearing loss of grade 4 on the left, deafness on the right according to WHO. The doctors recommended not to delay the operation, so that it would not affect the development of the son."
Due to the high cost of a cochlear implant in Belarus, the operation is performed free of charge on only one ear. But for full Matvey’s development, it was necessary to carry out an operation on the second ear. After all, the shorter the interval between operations, the faster the baby will start talking and fully develop.
"The first cochlear implantation operation was scheduled for December 4, 2020, but before that, Matvey was diagnosed with adenoids. Therefore, on December 4, doctors only removed the adenoids and partially the tonsils. And the very operation on Matvey's ear was carried out only on January 12, 2021, - said the boy's mother. «Even before that time, we started raising funds for a cochlear implantation operation in the second ear, because we understood that we simply did not have the money to pay for this procedure, which costs 32 thousand dollars."
The "Novoye Pokolenie" Foundation responded to the request for help from Matvey's parents. By combining efforts, the boy managed to collect the required amount and in March the collection was closed.
Now Matvey is awaited in the clinic Center of Hearing and Speech Group «MEDINCUS» in Poland and very soon he will hear the world around him.
