Children's Lives Saved

The New Generation Charitable Foundation funded the purchase of Octagam, expensive immunoglobulin (IVIG), which professional medical staff used to treat about 30 young patients of Brest Regional Children's Hospital with multisystem inflammatory syndrome.
According to Andrey Valuyevich, the head of the Anesthesiology and Reanimation Department, recently COVID-19 affected not only adults, but also children. Some of the children experienced a complex of symptoms, so-called multisystem inflammatory syndrome, clinical manifestations of which includes fever, gastrointestinal symptoms, meningeal signs, skin rash, conjunctivitis, hypotension, myocarditis.
The use of IVIG has had a major impact on the treatment of this syndrome, which helped to stop the progression of the disease and restore health in the shortest possible time. Unfortunately, these drugs are very expensive. But thanks to New Generation, 74 vials of Octagam intravenous immunoglobulin were purchased, which helped cure about 30 young patients.
